Product Owner

You are the business champion – you own the details of the business value delivered at product level that, when viewed in totality, support the product, user and business priorities and help achieve the desired business and user outcomes. You are the team linguist, able to talk to, and travel between design, tech and business to ensure the product delivers on user, business and technical needs. You overlap and collaborate with all the team roles.

You need to be able to articulate business value and understand how you take that to execution, be Goal Focused and able to Breakdown business and user needs, turning them into User stories for developers to write. You need to be able to manage scope, risks and prioritisation. You need to be open and transparent, able to work collaboratively with your teammates, customers and other stakeholders with enthusiasm and passion for your product.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Actively participating in Product discovery phase
• Identifying customer’s pain points and related JBTD
• Analyzing competitors and defining competitive advantages
• Defining MVP and product scope
• Driving Inception phase
• Breaking down high level solution to manageable delivery chunks
• Creating and maintaining appropriately prioritized backlog
• Working closely with Delivery Manager on the Delivery plan
• Leading Backlog Refinement sessions and achieving consensual estimates with the team
• Leading or actively participating in Agile / Scrum Ceremonies (Kick Offs, Desk Checks, Stand-ups, Showcase, Planning, Retros)
• Presenting the team in front of Stakeholders
• Presenting the outcomes of the team in front of a wider audience
• Communicating and helping the client understand the business model, value and value proposition
• Collecting stakeholder input in order to provide vision and direction to the Scrum development team
• Following progress of work and addressing production issues during iterations
• Knowledge sharing of domain knowledge and upskill less experienced members of the team

Specific Technical skills

• Experience with working in a software development team
• In depth knowledge of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Extreme Programming..)
• Experience with requirements elicitation
• Working knowledge of product development architecture
• Experience with Software Development tools such as AzureDevOps, Jira etc.
• Understanding of UI design standards is a plus
• Usage of analytic tools is a plus
• Usage of AI tools is a plus
